Samex strengthened its commitment to quality and reliability of supply with the purchase of the historic Melangata Station in Western Australia.

This 130,000 acres station produces sheep, lambs and goats, giving Samex control of the entire supply chain from paddock to plate.

Established in 1915 about 650 km north east of Perth, Melangata has a reputation for producing some of the best quality meat in the region.

The station is also a major small stock procurement centre in Western Australia, purchasing animals from other producers for Samex to export either live or processed. This allows Samex to grade for quality control for all livestock.
